I like the pure physicality of it but can also appreciate the skill involved. Its not for everyone but then again either is any sport

The West

I enjoy the physicality of it and respect the skill of the various styles of combat.

But I've never been a real fan, I just can't abide hitting a man whos semi-unconcious on the ground. Just puts me off!

But this is were the ref comes in. I've seen a few fights where a fighter actually looks for the ref to step in because they know the other fighter is finished. There are very few if any fighters that go into a fight that actually want to hurt another fighter.

They're so reliant on the response of a ref though. I've seen plenty where a fella gets knocked out and received one or two more blows on the ground by the time a ref slides in. Not the Refs fault, it all happens in seconds!

Plus a lot of UFC is wrestling based. Lots of fights have very little hits involved

Nowhere near as exciting as Jones Cormier 1, but it should be a very even fight

I do enjoy UFC and am impressed by the strength, fitness and dedication needed to compete, but it does have its limitations because it’s a sport.

Coming from a traditional martial arts back ground I do wish there was a bit more variety of techniques allowed.

That doesn’t mean I think it should be dangerous!

Tbh Jones is better than Cormier so much that even is hard to compare that fight with so high level of Ngannou and Gane. Those two fighters can win fight with everyone by one punch but I believe Jones has same level like Ngannou and Gane. Wish to watch Ngannou, Gane and Jones in octagonal ring at one time and see who will stand up last
