Hey, I'm over in Belfast this weekend and looking for decent places to go with lively atmosphere. Any recommendations?

Try Cathedral Quarter, plenty of great bars and restaurants

Aye first week of January 1st isnt exactly class craic

^^Double Trouble are right, go to the cathedral quarter and you’ll not go wrong

Also quite a few places in the Dublin Road area and Botanic that are lively on the weekends.

Franklin's is a great sports bar so worth a try and like others said near cathedral quater you can't go wrong, great city to visit

Sunflower has a fantastic atmosphere and I can't recommend it enough. Everyone is spot on though with recommending cathedral quarter though. Pretty safe bet!
