Grainne Seoighe, not an rte presenter,
Laura Woods, not an rte presenter,
Any TG4 newsreader obviously not an rte presenter so.

"Interesting.. no particular sex was mentioned in the opening post and you all mention women and not men. Men are there for the serious business of presenting, while the women are the eye candy?"
It's your choice , why would straight guys mention guys ? ..am speaking for myself of course , l would have no business to mention any guys here . |

If you read my reply it said " it's your choice " were the very first 3 words ..and I stick to my point that straight guys wouldn't have any interest in in guys, that is only my opinion, and other people can of course say what they want . |

It's always been the same, men are evaluated on their achievements, women on their looks. |

The number of hotties they've "pulled" - another method of evaluation on and off fab? |

I suppose they are marks of success on here.. but fab isn't a very good representation of society as a whole as the power dynamics are very different here. |

Surely to what extent their cock is "to die for" is the real issue here? |

Lol. Who knows. I don't watch it. It does seem that a female journalist is (at least partly) measured by her outfit and her fuckability, and this is something that male journalists don't have to contend with. Same goes for weather reporters. |

Of course. The females have the power here. Its supply and demand. Lower supply of females here means they can pick and are the gatekeepers. |

Absolutely. Thats a different industry though where the objectification is more equal between sexes. Female tv presenters seem to get a lot more of this than the male. It's self evident in the thread. |

Objectification of public figures is a really complex issue. The lines between acceptable and unacceptable will vary massively between people. Saying that I don't think actor and TV presenter are hugely different industries in regards to this |

There are ten times as many men here as women so there's going to be roughly ten times the amount of objectification of women here than men without it being statistically more. |

"That's a good fucking point Michael. That skews things. "
I kinda also think that a lot of men are probably just admiring someone's beauty which I have me problem with.
Objectification is something I would hope to avoid myself but we're all human.
Yes, I too am human. |

I think this thread is a massive outlier even on fab.
You’ll find oceans of comments from women objectifying men in the threads here. Are people really going to get their backs up on a sex website about this? That seems more than mildly humorous to me
I disagree that objectifying actors is any different at all than objectifying tv presenters. Objectifying is objectifying full stop. Once you start cherry picking to suit your own annoyance then you’ve already lost your own argument.
This thread was started as an innocent question without regard to gender and it appears to be to be whiffing slightly of faux moral outrage in instances.
Are most of the women tv presenters even actually being objectified or some people just saying who they think are really beautiful? Not everything needs to be read into to the nth degree and not everyone is an objectifying villain or saints at the other end of the scale. |

When you say stylist, is this the choice of clothes primarily? I'd say she picks her own clothes, and the style is the same most of the time. Maybe that's what she finds most comfortable for her.
That's not to say it's to most other general taste

Ah yeah I would concur. Same clothes just different colours. I'd say it's hard to be motivated to spend a lot of time on your work outfit. Ah sure, you'll have that.

I know I shouldn't criticise someone's dress sense, I thought it was a case of her having a poor stylist, so each to their own
