Freddie would be the natural answer but my main man

Chris Cornell …… wow just wow as recognisable as Freddie

What a tragedy

I would put layne stayley and Scott wieland plus Chris Cornwell as top 3. You could argue about Scott not being a "grunge" singer as stp were from san Diego and not Seattle

"Dead: Freddie

Disagree on both, I like dave grohl but there's a lot of shouting and he lost some appeal lately when I read his book and he wouldn't stop shite'n on about all his meetings with Paul McCartney

Chris Cornell was first person came to mind. Freddie obviously once you think about it is probably the most popular choice and well deserved.

Brian Johnson was the one that had me in pure awe the whole way through

"Mick jagger "

Jagger is definitely the standard by which the rest are judged. He was the first modern frontman as we know it.

However I'm plumping for Iggy Pop. Forget the elderly topless man advertising car insurance...check out the very rare clips of him at his peak in the Stooges, late 60s/early 70.

Absolutely mind-blowing stuff. He's just a force of nature. I choose him ahead of Jagger simply because he's a more powerful (and versatile) singer

Where to start?

Freddie is obviously the top of the list but other notable contenders would be:

Brian Johnston

Mick Jagger

Axel Rose

Ronnie James Dio

Corey Taylor

Freddie and Queen should have been ignored by everyone after they went against the UN cultural boycott and played concerts in apartheid South Africa. That must not have made the movie.

Half the movie is made up ....it showed them as not playing for ages before live Aid

I worked at their gig in The RDS a few months before it
