Any book that foreshadows the other person's inability to rationally think for themselves:
Religious texts that imply the existence of an form of deity: The Bible, The Q'uran, The Ghita, etc.
Economic or political theories that require the exploitation or indirect subjugation of any race or ethnic group.
Anything pertaining to the merits of any strict political theory, such as: nationalism, communism, socialism, etc.
Texts that adumbrate any form of distorted thought process, especially superstitions, unseen 'controlling' forces, the existence of aliens, UFOs, etc.

It is vital to give the other person free rein at the outset to reveal the innermost working of their cognition processes; if there are any red flags, then politely withdraw and terminate all contact.
Give these individuals their freedom to make contact with like-minded people; don't even bother to educate or change them.

Mills and Boon novels, by far the most popular books sold in Britain, or at least they used to be, would confirm that the owner is a person of significantly lower than average intelligence, with a very low reading age indicative of a severe learning disorder which, I think used to be defined as being Educationally Sub-normal. These are of course non-PC terms.
Mills and Boon reading ability would be at the same level as The Readers Digest, which Ken Dodd, an exceptionally erudite man once described as being,"... absolute s###!"

"Oh how I wish you could block someone from commenting on a thread
Shocked no one has mentioned fifty shades yet
We can't. It's written by a 12 year old. "
Hope it's not me your referring to? Don't know how I'd enjoy the rest of my day if it was. |

"Ulysses would be another that would make me raise an eyebrow…would feel like the person was trying too hard"
It is reputed to be James Joyce's finest work, and one of English literature's most revered works. I would personally have no great interest in reading it! |

If anyone ever claims that they've read it then tell them that the rest of the conversation needs to take place in screenplay format only. |
