Sorry but you have totally let you true colours show, not everyone is feeling chirpy but moreso some people need encouragement not some jackass to come on here and make light of the help that these numbers give.Seriously I'm actually disgusted at your comment.

Well said

But there’s always 1

I hope people Really see him for what he is ….

It can be a very sad , lonely and painful time for some people

Who just need someone to talk to and listen to them no matter what they have to say

A cry for help may be the biggest thing they ever do but could save a life which is priceless

I've clearly seen him for what he is because when I went to message him I found that id already blocked him. I'd strongly urge other people on here to do the same. His post is actually disgusting

Back to what the post is about,I've no doubt people find this time of year difficult and having people to reach out to can help. The first step is often the most important.

I'm not ashamed to say I've used one of those numbers before,it helped me shed a tear, helped me to get through the night and get me a rights night's sleep.you don't need to be suicidal to use these numbers,my situation was anxiety and worry, that chat that night helped me sleep.Im not ashamed to say that.speaking to a stranger helped me more as I wasnt ready to speak to a family member. Hopefully by saying it here helps someone else in my situation or similar realise that these numbers are often the first call, not the Last call.

Nice one, I admire you for creating this post. There's never a time you should be afraid to reach out nor a place or person you should feel afraid to reach out to. You never know what sort of interaction can help you or help someone else. Wishing everyone the best

I have used two one as a child and one as an adult and i have used others not listed there aswell. And yes i am not ashamed i feel so blessed i had the strength to call them as that's often the hardest part is picking up the phone. Great post Saucy.

Sending anyone who is struggling this weekend a warm hug and if you need to chat please message.

Treat today as just another day and don't be comparing yourself to the picture of perfection that people post on social media because most of us are just getting by, have compassion for yourself, appreciate yourself , love yourself and put yourself first. Why so you think on a flight your advised to put your oxygen mask on first because to help others you have to save yourself first.xx

This is a great post OP!! Thank you for putting it together!

No shame in anyone ever needing help with anything, I've used some of these services myself and been lucky enough to be support staff on some of them too .

Life can be tough at times and we all know this, bravado and smiles can only get you so far - for the rest there's people like OP for posting these numbers and reminding us we all have support, all we have to do is take the first step and ask for help.

Happy New Year to you all folks, and something I read today....

You are a fighter! Look how far you have come, don't be afraid to ask for help when your journey become difficult, we all need support at times.

Take care and look after each other xx
