"What is the point of this thread? (7) !
There isn’t one but who cares
Gives the “bah humbugs” something to do as well as the more light hearted of us "
It was a genuine question; a lot of these threads that I have been reading do seem utterly pointless:
Are they a means of people to make contact?
Are they a mechanism for others to see their names in print, on screen; to raise awareness of their profile?
I suspect that fab members who are true lifestyles avoid this type of repetitive name-dropping.
Am I mistaken? |

Just like you use 50 words when 10 will do to get your name known....I try to use humour.....everything that everyone posts has a reason
To have sex

Actually didn’t realise the “bah humbugs” had a profile here
It was the only name I mentioned |

But does it actually produce any results? "
Actually you really don’t get it at all.
Why don’t you try ignoring items or threads you don’t see the point of instead of pouring gloom down on them |

An inquisitorial open-minded approach is very frequently a more effective conversational technique for eliciting information about a topic, rather than an adversarial mindset, from my experience! I merely expressed bemusement... |

Autodidacts with an extensive vocubulary rarely ever need to consult a thesaurus; in fact I have never owned, nor ever had the necessity to consult, such a tome! |

Yeah, you don't need a thesaurus, you need an English style guide |

Yeah, you don't need a thesaurus, you need an English style guide"
The challenge set by the OP was to ruin Christmas in 7 words or more; although I took more than 7 words, it would appear that my irritating verbose postings effectively did achieve my objective of ruining Christmas, for some! |
