I've recently had an operation and bound to couch or bed, so....I fired up the PS4, haven't played online in years and I've started at the bottom in COD MW, level one, guns are shit and to make any sort of headway is difficult.

I'm embarrassed to say I've Rage Quit on a couple of occasions, have you ever experienced this, what's the worst you've done?

Is that where you throw the controller at the wall in a temper

I'm not an angry person but that bridge in crash bandicoot can go fuck itself! Nearly snapped the controller in half trying to cross it lol

I used to ride motorcycle trials and repeatedly failed to get up a rock step that my mates were floating up with ease. The last time I ended up under the bike so I picked it up in a fit of temper and lobbed it into a ditch and stomped off.

Then had to sheepishly stomp back and ask them for a hand to pull the thing out when I realised I couldnt just dump a rather expensive bit of machinery

Broke a ps2 controller on gta san Andreas years ago when I couldn't get past a mission. Don't think I've rage quit to the extent where I've broken things since. My brother put a few controllers through walls over Call of duty over the years however

That's one of the worst things about rage quitting, once you calm down you realise how much of a tool you've been

For those 3 seconds though the gratification gained in throwing the bike or controller is unmeasurable, unfortunately the cost of the damage isn't lol.

Actually true, the release you get in that instant is massive!

Not a gamer but can relate.

I've smashed my phone, I once put my fist through a wall, and many times I've said things I shouldn't in the heat of the moment

I am getting better though! Older and wiser

Not gaming related but there is a guy I have to work with occasionally that I don’t get on with. On one particular job I had go and sit in the van for a half hour to cool off as my head was about to pop off with temper.

I’m out of action too for next 2 months at least but I don’t have a game I can rage quit though…. Might start playing… give me an outlet!

Frustration of any kind is hard to contain so let it out Sparks let it out!

No I tend not to rage quit.

And I have some terrible COD sessions.

BF2042 was so bad I was tempted a few times.

My friend did once break one of mu ps3 controllers when we lived together during a fifa marathon

Never thrown a controller or broken anything -they are all too expensive to replace and should be taken care of. If my kids ever do anything like that, they’ll be saving up to replace it themselves.

I’ve shouted at the tv like a fool a few times though, grinding to get some obscure pointless achievement.

Done that a couple of times. Nearly handed in my notice too.

I've done it few times when I first started online gaming but then I started looking at how I got killed, was it my fault? How can I learn from it and how to stop doing it again.

You'd be surprised how quick you can progress with this approach.
