So just intrigued on what everyone’s opinion on the most stupidest restriction that has come into your play since the pandemic started? I’m not saying they’re all stupid but there are quite a few.
My opinion is the €9 meal to enter a place. |

Can I just say, that was more to protect the food serving business, so people wouldn't just come in and order a starter of less value or just drink on it's own. The Restaurant has to make some sort of money, otherwise, they would be just a pub... |

Can I just say, that was more to protect the food serving business, so people wouldn't just come in and order a starter of less value or just drink on it's own. The Restaurant has to make some sort of money, otherwise, they would be just a pub..."
I understand that part but the fact they also had the 1hr 45 rule along with it making people spend 9 euro a Few times if they want to actually have a night out |

also the not leaving fathers in with expecting gf/wives.
so little in a church, huge open building
so little at matches one time, outdoors.
there is many, list is endless.

as I said on a thread earlier, it wouldn't bother alot. a relaxation month after the festivities of Xmas. you're also surmising about omicron. unless it leads to a huge increase in hospital /icu then I couldn't see it. its funny to think 3 vaccines on though and were still talking about a potential lockdown after initially been told the vaccine is the way out. |

id love to know their vaccine and booster status, their age and health condition. we were asleep at the wheel here. Israel first reported in July the wearing in immunity of the initial vaccine but we didn't start boostering until a couple months or more later. eventually we have to live with this and properly. I'd also like to see does omicron keep rising or burn out. I see BJ is driving on with Christmas plans anyway. |

Also on the older people staying in comment.
Yes that might well be, but the younger ones going to the house parties will bring it home, as because of the housing crisis, most life at their parents still, it spreads through the house. And their place of work....knock on effect.
The hospitality sector is getting destroyed to the point people don't want to work in it.
We had this before, in other sectors. The only people who will work these jobs then will be foreign workers who send most the wages home, not spending it in Ireland. We ended up in recession before....watch this space... |

I think with the 8 closing time obviously young people are going to look elsewhere and probably alot of older people will too but if they kept it at 12. Most people when asked if they wanted to go somewhere after it they be thinking no it’s abit late now |
