"Hmm? Would i book a venue and charge for tickets or just use the public facilities and just go out as a big group ?? "
Go out as a group, meet and greet and see where it goes, should be plenty of interest. |

I get up to not meeting F All people outside of family before Christmas, so I can spend this Christmas with family.
Covid ain't fucking it up for me this year and neither is Fab.
Silly idea OP.
Wait a month or two and see what the situation is but, right now, it's madness to be hosting events of any kind IMHO. |

Sorry mate, but nothing is going to get back to normal with this attitude. The country is opening up again whether you approve or not. If you want to continue to play it ultra safe then thankfully no one is forcing you to go. |

Heh man saw your post about hosting something. Newry can be quite small and narrow minded place with lots of assholes.
Newry is a pretty much one night town which is a Saturday so unless you were booking a room somewhere it may not be feasible on a Saturday. Dont pay for the venue for the room as with business being quiet they should only be too happy to have a group who are there to drink. I don’t want announcing names of places on here but if you want a few suggestions of places drop me a message.
As this would be a gathering where people chat and get to know one another I would suggest staying out of the mainstream type town/city centre spots.
There are lots of different venues that can be quiet. With Covid etc you could maybe say it was a night out for some sort of hill walking group or something. I have never organised any of these and do t profess to know anything about them. I just thought I would drop a message as you said you don’t really know Newry.
Hope it all works out for you |

Thanks for all the support and advice everyone I really do appreciate it, and for all the positivity given behind the idea.
Ill wait till the new year to start planning it as I've a suspicion that they might put us in to lock down or at least heavy restrictions, which would put an early end to any plans. So I will hold off until we know what the next month holds in store for us up here in the North. |

"There was a Fab masquerade ball night in Newry in 2016, it was quite well done."
I wasn't at it, but I used to spend a lot of time in that area and place is so small and narrow minded - vanilla people are still talking about that "creepy" swingers party...
Personally think newry area isn't ready.

Newry Down |
Although strictly speaking I am not originally from Newry, I have lived and worked here for decades.
I would never ever attend an identifiable swingers event in the city of Newry
There are too many narrow minded nosy people in this parochial environment.
Events in Lisburn, Belfast or Bangor would be much more suitable, especially for progressing upstairs; after the 'ice' has been successfully broken.
The swinging aspect of my life is a secret private matter; it would not remain private after an event in Newry. |
