No-one appreciates a manky mouth.
But it turns out Covid does (vomit)
"Research shows that people with poor oral health can end up with more severe symptoms if they catch the coronavirus. Covid patients who also have gum disease are 3.5 times as likely to be admitted to intensive care compared to those without."

"Is it a case of causation or mere correlation? I'm too lazy to read the article "
Unconfirmed but
"the fact that there's a link between oral health and Covid is less surprising when considering the link between oral hygiene and other diseases. Bad oral hygiene has been associated with making many other diseases worse." |

"Listerine mouthwash everyone morn, no virus would survive that!
Stockpile... we have the new bog roll "
Yes! While everyone is distracted by the fake tan shortage, we'll make a fortune |

So instead of keys in a bowl at a swingers party we can put our false teeth |

Your number of teeth is also related to your life expectancy. Not because the two are linked but because those who go the dentist regularly are more likely to look after themselves in general. I'd say it's the same with Covid and mouth hygiene. |

Yep something like that.
The gross details - bad bacteria in mouth causes infection, which causes gum decay making the transfer of nasties into the bloodstream much more likely. |
