It's the first thing I look for in any profile. If they are within 10 years of my kids ages I don't even read the profile and certainly don't look at the pics so there's zero chance I'll ever chat to them. |

I think they are very important when I was on here over 8 years ago i was also frustrated with age limit but after a few parties and getting to know people I realised they're there for a reason.
At the age of 30 I had nothing in common with a 50-year old at 40 i have more in common and some shared life experience really it what ever works for each individual. |

I won’t meet anyone the same age as or within a few years of my 60 year old parents…it would be weird.
I also have very little in common with people in their early 20s.
So nope, filters are great |

I met a guy recently, said he was 26.. turned out he was 22 and he had the knowledge of a Master!!
So they can still lie about their ages on their profiles!
Luckily for me; this one turned out to be amazing  |

Age limits may limit choice, but they serve many purposes...as many have stated, meeting people their children's or parents ages would be weird...so 10 years either side of their own age is where many are happiest...age any age does not impart wisdom, skills or entitlements...hence the need for veris |

Ok, appreciate the different view points. Kids/parents/limits the numbers of messages however, I meant more when you're a year or two outside the limit, seems harsh not to be able to contact someone. But that's cool. Understand it more now.

Im pretty sure though people do message others who are outside their age range. I certainly have but nothing with a drastic difference |

Sometimes they drive me nuts cos there is a woman in my local town who is hot as fuck on here and I’d give my right arm to meet her but I can’t message her because my age is 1 feckin year out  |

No please dont....filters are there for a reason and would you really expect an answer to someone saying " my friend fancies you " or would you expect to get blocked |
