I never liked mince pies as up until maybe 4 yrs ago I thought mince pies had raw mince meat in them ( I'm blond)
But have had some since and homemade is the only way to go |

I'm blonde too and believed the same for the longest time...but I'll put it down to being foreign, and mince was always associated with minced meat  otherwise it should be called jam pies  or some such thing |

Every year I make a specific point of buying a couple of boxes of Marks and Spencers mince pies; the most expensive and also the cheapest.
I alternate them; the cheap ones are good with fresh cream, but the dearest are excellent, on their own. |

I might give one a shot then just so I can say I've at least tried!! my friend eats them warm with brandy cream and honestly that looks delicious |
