Apparently hill walking is regarded as a solitary activity; as I know from experience.

Walking is exceptionally good for thinking through complex issues.

Yep, great app. Coumshingaun Lake is a good loop. Tough in places with a bit of scrambling. Best done clockwise and in clear weather.

We went over the summer. Plan was to get up onto the top in time for sunrise, started walking at 4am....pissed down and clouds were in all the way around . We have planned on a dip on our next visit.

A couple of people I follow on Instagram have started meeting other walkers recently and inviting anyone who wants to join.

Wildirishwonderer is one I can remember off the top of my head.

They are the vlogger types but their content is good and helps me pick out some hikes id like to do

Avid hillwalker here but not that familiar with walks in Munster - would definitely be interested in walks from 2022 onwards and making friends.

Can show interested walkers nice walks in the North West

The ideal hill an forest walk would be one where the walking group had agreed in advance to a little swinging al fresco, rounded off with a group event at a hotel, that had a liberal policy, or were known to turn a blind eye.
