"It was on the radio yesterday that only 15% of women like the chiseled muscle body is the dad bod the new sexy "
It like everything isn't it ..a guy thinks he has a certain type " Bod " but someone else maybe see's it differently..moral of the story ..be happy in your own skin..there's enough crap going on in the World without having to try and fit into certain " Bod " types ..that's if you feel you should ..if you don't well then the World's your Oyster... |

There used to be a kids TV show and a series of books in the mid 70's called Bod and everytime I read the term dadbod it reminds me of that. "Here comes Bod"
I say read it because I've never heard the term spoken out loud and have only ever seen it here or on antisocial media. |

I always think a Dad Bod is a bod that is muscley/good arms and shoulders and bum and legs etc but a bit of a spread around the waist. While I do like ripped, I’d much rather the former with a sense or fun than the latter with no substance.
What’s the female version of that then? Curves? |

What is considered dad bod?
The phrase "dad bod" refers to an average guy who doesn't have a lean, shredded physique. He might instead have a paunch or visible beer belly, without being hugely overweight—just like the stereotypical suburban father of a nuclear family. ... "It's about having minor love handles, not letting yourself go |

I think this topic speaks a bit to the age old topic of do looks matter. The answer is, unfortunately, yes, they do at least initially when assessing someone. Most people are less likely to be interested in someone they don't find physically appealing (unless they somehow get to know them as a person). Only after getting to know a person do we generally make allowances for the things we don't find particularly appealing.
Just my thoughts on it and sorry for generalising. |
