I've to go toy shopping for my neices and nephews this weekend.
And it got me thinking about my favorite toys (yes I'm still a giant man child I know)
I got an awesome electronic soccer game for Christmas when I was 8ish that was right up there l.
But number one has to be the massive collection of toy solders I had.
The endless hours spent in epic possible slightly historically inaccurate combat.. taking over the whole house as cowboys and Indian's took on the might of the 3rd Reich armoured division bliss...
I'm 100% picking myself up a pack of cheaply made plastic warriors tomorrow....

A pedal car I got for my 5th birthday. Metallic blue with spotlights and a horn.
It was stolen by older kids a year later for downhill racing and dumped in a river. Got it back but it was never the same. |

Mine was probably a little push along vw beetle monster truck that my dad got me for about my 7th or 8th birthday and he stayed with me for an hour or more playing with it and made a little garage for me to park it in. Its still one of my favourite memories as he was a workaholic and worked every hour to leave food on the table for us
Have to say I loved a particular bmx I got one year for Xmas too, hours of fun and many, many injuries haha |

I remember being in hospital when I was around 6 or 7 and I really wanted a strawberry shortcake doll
I remember my nanny coming up to see me and she got me the doll and two mr men books I though it was the best present. |

One of my first favourite toys was a Jibba Jabber that my dad bought for me when I was very little. I still have it actually.
I was much more interested in books. I got the 4th Harry Potter book for my 9th birthday and that was my standout gift from my childhood.
Don't know if it counts as a favourite toy though haha |

Had one of those old buzz lightyears that was apparently like gold dust back in the day.
Unfortunately it was robbed like a week after I got it. It’s about the only toy I remember lol. |

"A case red ride on tractor and trailer
Can I get a ride
Only if you wear that Halloween costume for me
Frantically searching for a worzel gummidge costume "
Pop down to me and I’ll give you some gear. I look like worzel gummage the day after I wash my hair. Feckin curse of the curls. You won’t be getting my red stilettos though. |

When I was 3 my dad came home from work one day and brought me a red and blue scooter. It was my favourite thing to play with/on. The day I left someone use it they went half on the footpath/half on the road and one of the back wheels came off: I was devastated. I loved it so much lol |

For me it was definitely books. I loved to read, especially Enid Blyton. I've lost the ability to concentrate to read anymore unfortunately ; it's been so long since I got lost in a good book. |

My Star Wars action figures. Still in a box in my Mums house with GI Joes, He-Man, Star Trek TNG, and Batman (1988) figures.
Scarlett loved her Cindy collection. They are also still tucked away in her parents house.
Lego was pretty great too |
