would you go ahead with a meet or repeat ones where the other person or people hold completely different political views to yourself ?
Perhaps they are the ‘would vote for trump’ type .
Or ‘so woke they are completely obsessed by pronouns’ type .
And you are the complete opposite
Or have very different views on vaccinations or the welfare system.
Maybe it’s ok as a one off , would you keep meeting them ?

I absolutely would meet them (especially if they're hot) but would have to agree beforehand not to discuss politics.
Obviously I'd draw the line at meeting neo-Nazis or whatever  |

I don't think it would get as far as having to talk about politics directly pre-meet. Most people with views that would be strongly opposed to mine would very likely have made comments previously which would have turned me off. It's not hard to sniff out the fascists, homophones, and xenophobes really as they will usually make themselves known. |

There is so little differnce between the mainstream political parties in Ireland that you'd hardly notice the difference. That doesn't mean there aren't crazies on the fringe. |

As my profile reads religion and politics are you own bag of chips. And really if a person your having sexual relations with brings either religion or politics which is many different ways are closely connected into it do you really want to hang with that person??? I say keep it under your hat and carry on till your carried off. |

In short, the answer is no.
If their political/social views are diametrically opposed to mine and they've in some shape or form made that obvious then I wouldn't have any interest in sharing my time or my body with them.

There are some ideologies, as there are personality traits, that I detest and it would stop me meeting those people.
I'm sure I have met people in the past who hold some of these views and it just never came up before we met, but in general I think I wouldnt click with people whose views I consider off putting enough that I wouldnt want to meet them anyway |

Meeting someone with political views to me would be no problem at all.
My political views and sex defo dont have anything in common because i want mary lou on top of the polls but certain not on top in the bedroom  |

I met a girl in california back in the day. Lovely Vietnamese american working in silicon valley.
Hooked up in a bar, back to her place. Sex was ok, but i thought ill do this again.
She invited me to a 49ers game and proceeded to bore me f'n stupid with her republican rambling and pontificating.... i was biting my tongue and clenching my fist...
She drove back and asked me if i wanted to come in to warm up (Its freezing in the niners stadium) and i said no. I turned down this little hottie over her politics..
About 2 weeks later the horn returned so i emailed her (how kids communicated in the dot boom)
She never replied |

Think you have problems if trump or Clinton are your red lines.
We have Isis terrorists here with active arrest warrants. We have people associated with human sacrifice groups in Ireland. We had two women charged with running a sex/prostition/slabery operation in Ireland.
And you're gonna kick someone out of bed for supporting trump over clinton, or for thinking pronouns are important or not.

No actually human sacrifice is a different opinion to me, so is genital mutilation. Doing it inside Ireland makes you a criminal, having it as a belief does not.
Believing in jihad and a Muslim world does not make you a criminal. Acting on it does. It's widely reported in the media that people who have not broken terror laws support them on an idealogical level.
Belief in prostition being okay is a belief, some believe using them is fine and crimeless. Indeed on here there were many threads from people sharing that belief, that all prostitutes in Ireland are independent women working the oldest trade and the industry and should be left alone.
Everything I mentioned are widely held.supoorted belief. There are a large number of people in Ireland who believe in human sacrifice. |

I think you're missing the point of the original poster, which was about meeting up with people of different political views. Things that people might chat about in general conversation. I think it goes without saying that nobody would hook up with cannibals and traffickers |

I get the impression that some peeps mix up muslims with islamists. Having Islam as your faith doesn't make you a Islamist.
