Important to get help and talk if you're ever feeling underwater. There's even online counseling services nowadays from mymind and others.

Better out (not just your lads, lads ) than in and no need to bottle up. Helped me a great deal in the past.

It's always best to try and get help than to let mental health issues dominate you life.

There are so many helping groups available today, so take that step to a better life.

Totally agree OP. All it takes it to notice the small things and just let them know someone is there.

I work for a company with 2000 employees. We take mental health serously and over the years HR have continued to review and update our supports and awareness training.

Even with that since most of us work from home now I became less aware and only noticed when someone brought it to my attention during performance reviews.

We now call each member of our team at least once a week to talk about anything not work related.

I have found Covid worries and loneliness are issues but coming out of lockdown is helping and we rotate people back into the office if they want to.

Some are worried as they have a child that is struggling with health or learning issues.

The ones I feel most for are young foreign nationals who have lost one or more grandparents and could not get home.

The op is correct. Some people will not let you know how they are feeling until you make time for them and ask.

Sometimes the small things can build up over time without you realising it. Important to recognise the warning signs and don’t get burnout. I’ve had that experience so I plan small breaks in advance, even one overnight stay in a local hotel I find helps.
