"Not a good look"
In all honesty ,with everything going on in the World atm and people genuinely heading into winter with a huge uncertainty about what the costs are gonna be ..this highly paid C.E. throws that out ...to me it just reeks of f**king arrogance . |

Wouldn't disagree with that myself.
One of the other things that gets me irritated is the way prepaid electricity is so much more expensive than bill pay. If you run into arrears they apparently encourage you to switch to prepaid knowing that you may very well end up in the cold and dark if your usage remains the same. |

The chief exec is a woman. And while her comments are ignorant she did say if people were having difficulty with payment of their bills to engage with the company, svp or mabs who they work closely with. Not that people should have to do these things in the first place but just to put the entire comment there rather than a snippet. |

It would be a lot easier on people if Electric Ireland didn't increase their charges but of course they're " all justified " in doing so ,no one should have to consult SVP or MABS or any organisation regards a basic human right in this day and age in a developed country to light their homes ,what about all these data centers that use as much electricity as a small city and don't pay any bills, they won't be told go to SVP .. ,it's picked up by the taxpayer ...the whole situation just reeks of " the consumer will pick up the tab " they might give out and complain but they'll still pick it up ....but l still stand by by opinion that a C.E.should not have said what she said when asked about the price increases and how twill affect the person on the street. |
