Always feel that things are never the same online as in person to person meets, the chemistry might be good in text but flat as a pancake in person and vice versa. I love a coffee meet and the anticipation. How does everyone else feel I'm only 41 but feel ancient lol!! |

Oh god no I love meeting people face to face lol. I have been pleasantly surprised that there's more chemistry in person, I've had one or two meets where the chemistry was OK through texts but in person wowsers. Seemingly its rude to rip the clothes off a guy in public |

Agree 100pc meet in public when the initial shyness dissipates and the flirty banter starts and you know where it's going. What a feeling surely nothing better |

Sure if you never have face to face meets how exactly do you get the ride?
In saying that, video calls are very handy in terms of getting an initial sense of a person without having to make any time/travel commitment. Especially on traditional dating apps where you can end up on lots of first dates. |

Meeting face to face for the first time through being out and about seems to be a thing of the past with apps, sex, swinging and dating sites having taken over. Gone are the good old fashioned days where you'd meet someone in the bar, through friends, work or at an event/outing/holiday.
And yes, unfortunately chatting with someone online and meeting them in person may fall flat where sexual chemistry is concerned.
I've still enjoyed every social I had and never felt that I wasted my time because the people I have met were lovely people

This.
Or even a phone call just to determine if the vibe is right. I can usually tell fairly instantly. I remember it took me ages to meet this one guy, but we had videocalled a couple of times, and I just KNEW we would get along very well. Because of this I had zero nerves when it came down to meeting in person |

I've only had 2 meets but they wouldn't be the same on a video.
Too much technology as it is. People have forgotten how to communicate face to face.
I don't mind communicating face to ass either though |

I think if it's good communication and banter and easy going relaxed chat on text then it's gonna be pretty much the same if meeting ..BUT it may not be the same in physical appearance...my tuppence worth anyway. |

"Texting can only go so far for me with a guy im interested in. It gets to a point where a face to face chat is essential.
Agreed... bring on the big socials which start this month "
It's great meeting lots of people in the one 'sitting' |
