Hi all,
Just joined 2 weeks back. Still not sure what to make of it but I will say Fab is much better than the previous site I was on.
I sent messages to two single ladies when I joined but both remain unopened. Is this normal or do I have the wrong expectations?
One lady on reflection may not be what I am looking for but the other lady seems genuine and I still hope for a response.
Thanks to DD for her post "what I have learned"
Your words resonated with me and inspired me to reflect and make positive changes in my life.
Advise from anyone would be appreciated on how to move forward on Fab.

Be patient and enjoy the ride. If you sending a message to someone read their profile to see if you are what they looking for and vice versa. Women get a massive amount of messages and don't read them so if you don't get a reply, just move on. Remember your profile is a shop window you need to make it that people want to come in. |

I don't get many messages very few in fact but it would want to grab my attention for me to open or reply,read the profile and see if your what they could be looking for and try be unique with what you do send....  |

It’s better to let people know who you are (tell them about yourself) and what you’re looking for. Couples and single women do tend to be inundated with messages so don’t be surprised if you don’t get a reply. Happens to all of us! Lol |

It can take months for a single straight male to get his first meet so don’t get too disheartened. |

You could always take a trip to Carlow and meet up with Ms Lolly. Only a couple of hours from Cork apparently. Pub and Supermacs sounds great too me! Lol |

4 weeks in.
Realised verified does not necessarily mean genuine.
Chatting with a lovely and very funny lady that has restored my faith in Fab.

Try to get meet verified and then you can attend socials which are a great way to get yourself known. They are always advertised on the Forum.
Also chat on the Forums and show your personality.
But must importantly be patient, as someone said above it's a marathon not a sprint.

Yes get yourself to a few socials and meet and greets plenty of them going on all over the country at the minute there is a social branch in athlone this Thurs that I and a few friends are organising also there is a social in limerick 20th of Nov |

Thank you both for the above words.
Will try to meet the lady and hopefully get verified. If nothing else she makes me laugh which I find attractive in a person.
I would like to attend a social sometime soon so will keep that in mind.
