I mostly do wildlife , but while chatting to someone on here one evening subject camu up and was thinking there might be people that would like there photo taken fir them , thats all, you not interested thats fine. I don't have anything to display because I haven't done anything like this yet , and I wouldn't be keeping any if the photos, and permission would be another stopping block anyway. |

I guess what some fabbers might like to see is if maybe...you did some photos of yourself and posted them. It looks a bit odd and nothing that has not been seen before, where a photographer with no photos on his profile is offering to do probably intimate photo shoots. So I'd start at home and populate you profile with a few good photos. But hey, what do i know.
Good luck with the offer though |

Good advice
OP, you have to appreciate that people are going to naturally be wary of an essentially blank profile offering a service with no evidence of skill in the area. |

CaseyLee was referring to pictures of yourself not someone elses. If you had a few excellent pics of yourself it could show that you've the creative eye of a photographer and the skills for boudoir photography (It's slightly different to wildlife photography) |

The last person to offer this service on here did have lots of pics on his profile. What they were of no-one had a clue but it was a portfolio of sorts.
Strangely no one took him up on his offer either. |

I'm into photography too and I do shoots of myself with my partner (Unfortunately I have to let him hold the camera though). But I really avoid getting involved in it through Fab (partially because people expect me to do essentially two days of work - including editing, for free )
I can give some feedback on considerations you should make as either a photographer, or potential model.
I agree with others who say, you need to have SOMETHING visual on your profile to give people an idea of your ability.
Shooting wildlife is a massive difference. you're talking tripod, zoom lens and daylight.
Whereas for this you want to be confident with indoor, low light, using lighting flash and portrait lenses, and posing inexperienced models. You need to give some indication you can work in that environment. Even pictures of yourself, or SFW portraits.
The biggest advice I would give to a would-be boudoir photographer is to spend a lot of time studying posing, and having a mental list of poses and composition techniques you want to use.
I scour the internet for examples of poses that I collect in mood boards. It's handy to be able to pick out poses and setups you would like to be able to use on the day.
For models, I would give the warning that shoots are surprisingly unsexy, and time consuming. You won't just be able to start fucking with a photographer hovering in the background. It takes time to get lighting, composition, and every aspect of the photo right, posing can feel weird and unnatural, there is a lot of twisting, sucking in and arching your back! I see it more as using your body as a tool to make a good photo. I don't see my pictures as actual photos of myself, more photos I helped create.

Yes totally agree I did a boudoir shoot last week it took four hours you have a lot of hanging around whilst the photographer gets the lighting and everything else perfect. You need to be able to give good directions and also be able to make the person feel comfortable. It's kinda scary stripping off in front of someone. So you're putting your complete trust in the photographer. Also the set up you want to have some idea's. I had discussed with the photographer exactly what I wanted so we got some great photos. |
