Do you find seeing your nails coloured makes you feel sexy, or happy. I love seeing mine painted but it could be just the novelty as I bit them for yeeeears  |

I'm a shellac fan, it's one of the few things I do for myself. I also used to bite my nails so I think that's part of it for me too.
I'd say my favourite colour is navy or dark red. I also always keep my toes painted.  |

I almost always have my fingernails painted - I prefer how they look and they're stronger painted. I just do my own gel polish but when I had a bit more disposable income I loved having Calgel done |

When I first read the topic line Nails, I was thinking a DIY thread
That goes to show how "girlie" I am...after my post on how I despise shopping...
I can't remember the last time I varnished my own nails! I might have gotten the Shellac done for the occasional wedding I attend but it destroys the nails and mine are particularly soft already. I personally prefer the natural look. I think that no matter how well the nails are done, they chip easy and that looks nasty and unkempt...
Due to the occasional work I do, I tend to keep mine quite short, less damage done!
My motto is to keep my appearance relatively natural and legere. That's how I feel most comfortable. And my "going out/evening" makeup wouldn't differ much from my day makeup if and when I do feel like putting a little something more on during the day... |

Usually do my own but got shellac for the first time yesterday…if it ruins my nails I’ll be very sad!
Love dark purples/navys/burgundy’s this time of year. More blues and taupes in the spring/summer. |

Im trained in nails. (Did it as a side thing) but my nails have never been the same since the training. Constantly breaking. I usually just use regular polish. Color club are my fave and i have alllll the holo colours. I used to do stamping and everything. Those were days sigh |

I find it hard to explain.
Always had a dislike of red nail polish, no underlying reason, just don't like it, and I always notice it immediately.
I'm ok with with other colours but I'd prefer natural.

Natural all the way for me, not a fan of those plastic nails. I've no idea what products are out there, never heard of that shellac stuff, I'm complete ignorant when it comes to cosmetics stuff. Only do my piggy nails with good old nail polish, it just looks nicer when wearing sandals or crocs. |

I would love to have long natural finger nails painted, but alas, not to be, so I have to go for glue on for the weekends, it’s just a killer taking them off and having to get rid of the glue residue, if anyone has tips on the best way to remove it, my nails are gone so thin.
I get regular pedicures and always have my toe nails painted as I find unpainted toe nails very ugly . |

I prefer natural but unfortunately mine don't last long because of anxiety habits. I get acrylic or gel especially this time if year i always treat myself to them. I love red with gold glitter on two ring fingers. One of mine broke last night after only getting them on Saturday. I used stop and grow to help grow them when i do grow them but they don't last long. There is a good bit of looking after in them aswell. |

I feel really grubby when I don't have my nails done. Red has always been my colour but the hubby recently bought me the whole gel nails kit with lots of amazing colours so I can do them myself and experiment. They are currently black but they will be a different colour before the weekend. |

I've started getting gel nails regularly. I enjoy how they look and Jay loves how they feel. My design and colours change all the time but it's part of the fun. |

I'm not a professional but this is how I do mine. People done come at me if it's not the right way but it works for me.
Give them a little file to remove the shine. 100% acetone bath or pop some on a 1/4 of a cotton pad, pop it on the nail then wrap it in tinfoil. After a while scrape it off with the curved cuticle pusher. Don't forget to use oil on you nails afterwards. Hope this helps. |

I should say that's the nail varnish. If I want the actual gel off I file it off. |
