Men of Fab!
I’d like to gauge your interest for a men’s only support Chat group?
Just like the ladies have a number of women’s only groups,
Hopefulkyv it’s a safe place for men of all sexualities to discuss issues affecting their lives with no judgments.
What it is for to start off ;
Chatting about
Life
Physical Health
Mental health
Work /work pressure/ unemployment
Family +children
Sport .+ fitness
Meets - how to approach them. What works / doesn’t work , support and encouragement.
And To support each other in an open and confidential way.
What’s its not for:
Bad mouthing / bullying other men
Degrading and or comparing women
Looking for meets
Swooping pics of any description.
Sharing personal info on each other or of anybody on fab.

I think it’s a fantastic idea . Physical and Mental health are huge areas , and masculinity particularly toxic masculinity makes us vulnerable to not looking after our health .
Money worries and being a good dad are huge areas too. Fitness Also .
We , As a group and as can be seen on the forum (with notable exceptions ) struggle in knowing how to chat to women without either patronising them , criticising them or idolising them . I think the ratios really impact on this as it can mean people getting frustrated not knowing how to progress chats , or feeling that they must use the red carpet treatment .
Your governance to stop bullying , bad mouthing and people being out of order when anonymous is a tall order . Best of luck with it and I am sure it’s achievable .
I won’t be able to join you as notifications from the two likely platforms will end up overwhelming me and I ll end up making the group dormant . However it would be great if particularly interesting topics can be shared as a thread here with consent .
Your idea is an example of higher level thinking that’s much needed on the forum . We don’t really discuss pastoral care type interventions much and we should . |

It's a great idea.
I've been admin of a ladies group for a while now and it really is a good supporting group. We chat about everything from mental health to our favourite sex toys.

Nice idea if you can get it to work.. Women will talk out their issues but sadly blokes won't in the same way.

Great idea OP. Even if it just for men to talk openly about things with no judgement as in personal things and get support. Sometimes it’s easier talk to strangers who will listen. Best of luck with it. |

I honestly didn’t expect the great level of interest.
I’m hoping to get the group up and running in the next few days . I’ll contact those who are interested in joining asap.

It's a good idea no doubt but not for me.
A lot of men, not all men, don't talk about their feelings to other men. If you need to talk to someone, make that step, you will feel better for doing so. |

Ah It'sLife, you're a diamond in the buff!  I'm not one for support groups myself but they are a good help to so many.
Men, anyone that has any problems big or small or even just for a social aspect, join in for this!

Group is going well, thankfully!
There’s a great mix of guys involved. And there are a couple Of spots left if any guys are interested?
