Liveline with Joe Duffy.

A lot of people don't like him, but I think he is an excellent listener, he is concerned about social justice, he does not tolerate BS and he is well-intentioned.

Nobody is perfect; I think he does a good job; Liveline is stimulating and has variety.

Niall Boylan on Classics Hits is about the only show I'd give a listen to but only if the topics were interesting.

For years, I have been a fan of bell-ringing, or more specifically campanology, named after the Italian church bell towers.

On BBC Radio 4 each Sunday morning, very early,at 0543 hours bells are rung on an esoteric programme aptly titled Bells on Sunday.

When I lived in England in the early 1990s, I loved to listen to real church bells, which are an integral part of English culture.

Very few church bells are rung in the English style in Ireland.
