One of my favourite songs just in general is "My Funny Valentine". I've heard tell of it's original meaning with regards to Lorenz Hart who wrote it and it's heartbreaking; if true.
Also perhaps a slight twist on a traditional love song, my interpretation of it is anyway, but I adore "Glad To be Unhappy". Especially Billie Holiday's version! |

Romeo & Juliet , Dire Straits , you should check out the solo version Mark Knopler does , YouTube it , there's a keyboard piece at the start of it , absolutely takes my breath away so much so nearly stops my heart everytime l hear it ( it says Emmylou Harris also on the link but she's not on it ) ..go on check it out see what ya think . |
