Songs that aren't politically correct
Jump to: Newest in thread
Been listening to a lot of older rock and metal lately and it got me thinking there are a lot of songs that if they were released today there would be uproar because they are so politically incorrect. There are loads of songs but can anyone think of any more? For me there's Aerosmith dude, looks like a lady
Also Queens fat bottom girls
Dire straits Money for nothing |

A childrens poet near us published a poem called 'my new blue knickers'. Now it was meant as light-hearted humour but the thought of a 60 year-old male poet thinking up a poem like that does feel a little uncomfortable |

"What about Two Little Boys by Rolf Harris "
His song Jake the Peg 'with his extra leg' I'm sure wouldn't be appropriate either, the more you hear his songs the more ya think 'how did we not know!' |

Sometimes the ruder the name the funnier the song

One that strikes me is Oliver's Army by Elvis Costello
"Only takes one itchy trigger. One more widow, one less white n****r" (in reference to the British Army murdering Irish Catholics during The Troubles).
Another one; Come Live With Me by Heaven 17, about a 37 year-old man having a relationship with a 17 year-old girl and ultimately being mocked by his friends over it.
The mammy is in her fifties and we watch a lot of old TOTP on BBC4, and a question I ask often is "how did they get away with that?" to which the answer very often is "they were more innocent times!"
