No regrets as another song goes but we all have at least one regret in life.
Me....I always wanted to learn to play a guitar.
Got one for my 40th birthday..paid for lessons and just couldn't do it.
Confused.com when it came to chords and frets
The guitar still sits in its case in the attic..unloved and unplayed
What do you regret you never learned to do. |

"I regret not accepting backstage invitation to Ash and the Doves . Friends offered but I was busy which on reflection was a poor decision "
I have to say though Unless they’re harnessed to learn and ensure future mistakes are not repeated , regrets are fairly pointless |

Regret coming back home from America when I was 21, had a lot of offers to stay. Thankfully heading back again to stay later this year
Also regret listening to so many wrong people including family just to make them happy. |

Regret involves too much negative thought. It’s ok to think on things and be positive if your effort. But I would not assign something into regret…. Spirals to the negative.
OP - you tried, guitar wasn’t for you…. Not a regret, but an opportunity that you took to try something.
We can’t succeed in everything, regardless of what the self help industry wants to peddle.
I’ve no regrets, but enjoy new things and trying to not be afraid of failure if I’m not immediately or even remotely achieving that item.

Typical boring response to this thread on my part here. Regret not paying more attention in school, should have actually done some work. Also like some others who’ve replied more travelling when I was young is pretty high up there on the list. |

I don't have a lot of regrets really.
I guess my biggest one at present was something I did in the last week now doesn't seem like it was that great a plan at all
Other than that not traveling or learning to dance, I dance like a one legged chicken .

Never Regret anything.
At any moment in life you have made a decision to do something in that moment that's exactly what you wanted to do.
You can admit your mistakes and be sorry for them and choose not to repeat them.
Bogman I have two things I wish I had done and one was learn the guitar too. But like you I tried and just couldn't grasp it. Absolutely useless and the second was I wish I had learned to speak Irish.
Btw, love the song too |

"Don't regret much as I wouldn't be where I am now if I hadn't done everything I have but I really wish I had learnt Welsh at a younger age as its a lot harder when older
Mr"
A family member who lived until he was 105 always loved the Welsh language despite never having been there.
He taught himself to speak it when he was in his late 80's, early 90's and then realised he couldn't speak a word of Irish and took that up too. |

List is long but not calling them regrets any more they were decisions I made at the time whether right or wrong, life leads us down a road with twists and turns, roadblocks and hazards, it's learning to navigate them which is our lifes journey , the one lesson I have learnt though follow the road I want not the road to make other people happy. |

I regret letting anxiety derail me from my path for too long. Wasted years.
I dont believe in regretting decisions generally, as other posters say its a waste of time really, but I do regret not tackling my mental health sooner as I forgot for a while what happiness felt like. |

I regret my career choice now. It has taken so much from me physically and emotionally. It has robbed my family of a normal life too. Perversely I still love the work itself but the total mismanagement and lack of proper support for staff is shocking. If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn’t bother. |
