For a start it's important to know the reason for sciatic pain! If it's recurrent, I would seek out a doctor to see if there's an underlying condition.
Immediate relief can be had from alternating ice packs with heat treatment.
Stretches and exercises, these should have been prescribed by your physiotherapist or physical therapist.
There's pain relief and antiinflammatories available, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Best of luck x

"I use a brilliant chiropractor but it would be quite a journey for you. He is absolutely gifted. PM me if you’re looking for his details. "
I think a chiropractor could be more successful than physio right enough |

I had long term sciatic pain lots of physio etc in the end I had a MRI (if you have health insurance it covers this) on my back to reveal two bulges rubbing against my spine causing the pain. Had CT guided gel injected into my back to block the rubbing and pain. Go to a doctor if it persists hope this helps |

Like any pain you need to find the cause of it first and go from there. So doctor and then an MRI is the route to go. I had terrible back trouble and sciatica and the MRI showed 2 worn discs which needed a small operation. Am glad to say I've been pain free for the most part since. |

I'm afraid I have bad news for you. I won't ever get better. If you start getting a hot, stabbing pain in one or both legs, it's surgery time as a prolapsed disc is next. Please believe I am not being over dramatic here. I waited too long. |

Are you sure it's Sciatica?. Your physio should have resolved your postural and muscular issues by now, and reduced the pressure on your sciatic nerve. It's important to find the cause of your pain. It could be caused by simple things, old mattress, sleeping position, car seat, lots of driving, etc. If the physio hasn't resolved it, then it's time for more investigation. MRI is next, and see what results you get. In the meantime, you can Google the common exercises to relieve the pain. |

I got it from a rugby injury when I still had to worry about lower body pain and such stuff. A good chiropractor and stretching was the initial route I took, but I also found acupuncture helped a lot. And it's helped me for shoulder and neck issues I've had in the last couple of years as well. |
