Hi all, we're debating a city break and have it narrowed down to 4 cities , Prague, Budapest,Berlin or Munich. Could anyone who's been to any of these places give us some feedback please we'd be going in a month or so. Thanks

Prague is looking strong a side from the swinging, is it a nice city? Sites, atmosphere, etc...

It's good, the square and castle are cool, lots of tourists but laid back, if you venture from the centre has a very eastern block feel to it

Munich is relatively conservative and other than the BMW museum there isn’t an awful lot to see IIRC. None of the 4 cities are as good as Stockholm but Berlin for me out of them

Agreed - I took a local bus out to Sparta Prague’s stadium and it was like going back in time to the Soviet bloc

Prague & book a guided walking tour.

Berlin also brilliant & again book the guided walking tour.

Do the tour on your 1st morning, great for letting g you see where everything g is & then returning under ur own steam...the good tours in Berlin & Prague will last 3 hours...but its a leisurely stroll.

There’s a guy on YouTube who gives great tips for the do’s and don’ts of Prague. It’s worth watching a couple them if that is indeed your destination

My order of preference.

1. Berlin. Stunning.

2. Prague. Amazing architecture.

3. Budapest. The hot springs baths are unreal experience.

But Berlin for me is top just for the sheer amount of fantastic architecture, history and culture. And it also has the alternative party and kink scene that I have not even factored in which is a whole different holiday

Sounds like some of the ‘specialist’ nights in lab in Berlin are to be avoided. Mother of God

All great places to go with their own thing but Prague has it all. Can be nice and romantic or can be as kinky as you want. Sex museum is interesting

Prague hands down. Beautiful city. Then Berlin. Forget the other two.

I was actually kinda bored by the BMW museum, I've been in better transport museums around the world. I found the nearby olympic village more impressive. I found the beer halls even more impressive though

Watch Budapest, I was there 2 years ago.

Lots of little scams going on from currency exchange rip offs ( no euro used) . Change at your local bank before travelling .

Over priced taxis

Drinks orders mixed up eg: getting 3 drinks charged for 4-5.

Spas are really nice but even I there got scammed -wrong change given. Got it Sorted eventually

All left a bad taste though.

Yes it is and really cheap.

Uber is really cheap.

Look out for a pub with a train running in it.

And do the beer spa.

We thinking about going again

I’d agree Prague is a great city to visit. The people are really friendly and helpful. It is a great city to walk around. We stayed twice in a lovely hotel. I’ll check out its name for you

Been to Munich and Berlin, never Prague. Great beer halls and gardens in Munich and its a beautiful easy to get around city. You could also hire a car and take yourself off to the mountains for the day or see can you visit the BMW factory. Salzburg is less than 2 hours drive from Munich if you fancy singing 'doe a deer' on a tour bus with some very strange people. Berlin is a typical hip EU Capital with a lot of history, the wall, checkpoint etc. But it wouldnt be top of my list. In my view Brussels gets overlooked, nice squares, good beer and lovely chocolate. You can also take a short train ride to Bruges or Ghent. These are beautiful cities.
