I know I've already ruled myself out of getting involved in this so some might feel I'm not entitled to an opinion.
The above raises a few security questions both with individual meets and the increase in group socials that are being posted on the forums.
I'm assuming anyone arranging anything through the forums is taking all the usual precautions in regard to vetting the person or persons attending and not blindly sending location details to anyone who asks?
It's all fine and well reaching out especially after the last 18 months but the issues regarding safety and privacy haven't gone away.
It wouldn't be the first time a relaxed social appeared in the local paper. |

It’s up to every individual to take the measures that they deem necessary prior to meeting someone or going to an event.
If an event attendee is concerned about the hosts vetting process, they should make those concerns known and if a satisfactory answer is not received, choose not to attend.
At the end of the day, it’s all about personal responsibility. |
