"IMHO really not worth the long queue"
Here is a tip. There is a secret entrance at the back of the Louvre that is not advertised anywhere!
I accidentally found it and there was zero queue, while everyone else queued at the front for hours. |

I actually found it underwhelming when I saw it but I put this down the the hype...also all the amazing art you pass before you get there kinda takes away from it.. like a floor to ceiling painting with so much detail then you get to the A3 sized painting and it's like...oh that's nice...

Got to Paris during a general strike 2 yrs ago
Had The Louvre practically to myself as there was no transport
Spent a few hours looking around and as others have say because its so small it's a bit underwhelming when you see it first because of all the other paintings.
However when you get close its exciting to be honest |
