"As u may be aware we use to run r club in Derry until it was destroyed by arson. We have been working hard behind the scenes to try and secure and new venue and it looks like we could b opening before Xmas! So who wants to cum? What facilities do U expect!?" Fantastic news and very best of luck with the new venture / start up, look forward to hearing of the progress as it’s definitely something me and play partner would visit.

"Showers and lockers are really really appreciated. I know its tricky tho. Wish you all the best with it!" A shower room with about 4 shower heads to allow group play. Lots of towels. Best of luck with everything

"Yes. Full play venue in Belfast. R next social is in Belfast is 25th September. These have all been fund raisers to get to kit out the club once we’ve found a venue. Hopefully securing the venue nx week then full steam ahead!! As for female glory holes, get in pornos but a complete health risk in real life. But other ideas r welcome. " Good point, I had noticed that some clubs in the UK have female gloryholes as a temporary installation on certain nights, and even then a supervisor is required. I can imagine it's not worth the risk/responsibility. That said, regular gloryholes would be a welcome feature

"Best of luck. Based on my experience, Start early so people arrive sober, Limit booze, no free drinks, Provide spotless changing rooms, lockable lockers, dressing gowns, maybe. Have private rooms, dark, pvc, etc, Don't mix swinging with fetish, kink, its a different dynamic. A hot tub is always popular. Try to ensure all activities are healthy and safe, provide free condoms all night long. The organising staff stay sober and don't play... Your job is to care for your guests. Screen guests.. Real couples only, no rent a partner, it is easily spotted and ruins the dynamic. Have a pre meet and greet to validate couples, maybe in a nearby pub, just to be sure both parties are aware they are going to a swingers club. Have a policy on chucking out, arguments, jealousy, d*unkeness. It's Ireland, it will happen. As you said earlier, it's not a porn set, so safe, sane, consensual activity in clean surroundings and guests will return. " Good post - follow the rules of French / Spanish clubs and you can’t go wrong. Particular vetting needed to out the guys with escorts.

We have been working hard behind the scenes to try and secure and new venue and it looks like we could b opening before Xmas! So who wants to cum? What facilities do U expect!?" I used to be co-owner of an adult shop that was out the back of Castlecourt in Belfast. The council refused to grant any of the adult shops a licence despite the owners continuously jumping through all the necessary hoops. In fact the council used to harass and raid the adult shops all the time. I really can't see the Belfast Council being ok with this and not giving you a continuously hard time. I also think the local media would be constantly all over this (though negative publicity is still publicity). I genuinely hope this works out for you guys though and wish you all the best as this is exactly the kind of thing Belfast needs to drag it out of the dark ages. But I really don't think it shall be easy for you at all. Good luck.

" u r so on r wavelength ... we have a website from the previous club which is listed on the "club reviews' section here on fab. there is a page on rules for both social and play events and most of the points raised are covered ... we will of coarse add those we have missed

"we see ourselves as a "lifestyle, sexual health and wellness centre". we work with the council on other events and hope this will help us register it above board. if the gay sauna can open then so can we!! legally, we won't be doing anything wrong, and we (as a club) made it on the front page of the sunday world before!!! we are doing this for ourselves as much as everyone else. trips to dublin, london, liverpool, paris, amsterdam or where ever else were getting to expensive and we truly love the lifestyle. " Have the council expressed any initial views on the project? I believe the gay saunas were supported by multiple agencies, to reduce cruising and the associated homophobic attacks that took place. Also the press have to be very careful in reporting any negative stories on the LGBTQ+ community.....Swingers? Not so much.. In the past, Swinging events at a venue in Belfast were actually objected to by the gay community and had to cease!! There will be other 'issues' unique to Northern Ireland, which I hope you have considered but good luck, someone has to take the vanguard, to make any progress towards a more liberal society

Any kind of kind of progress is good, and I hope the project goes well

Any kind of kind of progress is good, and I hope the project goes well" When a Hooters bar opened up back in 2008 (I think it was that year) it had customers and interest but the council very quickly shut it down. I experienced the harassment from the council through having a shop. I can't see this going well because the local council has not changed much since then. I want to see this club happen and work out well. Northern Ireland really needs things like this to put the rest of us in modern times alongside so many other countries in Europe. Will it happen soon? I don't think so. Will it happen eventually? I think it shall. But only once the Council is no longer a group of religious nuts. Hedonism. I sincerely wish you good luck with the venture. If you want to pm me at any time with questions for any info please do so at any time. I hope this works out for not only yourselves but all those that might benefit. Best of luck.
