I have been chatting to a couple who have been togather for 12 years not that old early 30s, they had said the reason they wanted to swing was there sex life was crap and boring. During chat they said they only have sex at the most twice a month somtimes not at all. I couldnt belive this. I know we all have our normal lives that we get on with and things often get in the way kids,work etc but that cant be normal. This was kind of a shock to me but i could be wrong is this normal ? Love to hear everyones thoughts. |

I would believe that. Haven't had sex with my wife in over 2 years due to her feeling she's too old and busy. Hence she has given me her permission to play away from time to time. |

Everyone's relationships will be different. Not every couple swings because their sex lives are crap and boring. I'd say the opposite might be a more frequent reason. For us, involving others is just a very small part of an already amazing and extremely fulfilling sex life. Personally if our sex life WAS crap and boring, we'd be looking to each other first for a solution. But like I said, everyone's different |

... That's a lot of exploration and sexual adventures missed! I can definitely imagine things getting stale in that scenario - little or no past experiences to draw from, or compare to. |

Spot on. Life is full of phases. Sometimes you just have to work through the bad times for the good to come through again. I recently explained to my partner that our sex life was boring and that also I was consumed with urges to play with other women and maybe even men. It was like a weight been lifted off me. I don’t have permission to play and I don’t but at least now she has some idea of my emotions. That pang of guilt has lifted and we are getting on great. The sex life, it’s grand and I am thankful. Of course men like me come on here and get overawed by the fun some folk have here but it thought me to appreciate what life I have. Talk to your partner!! |

X2 for this. We probably have sex 10 to 20 times per week depending on work etc. Our inclusion of other people is only a small part of our adventures. I couldn't imagine being in a relationship with no sex or very little sex  |
