I've always wondered why people can't avoid threads they don't like?
I've very little time for the certain threads and I pretty much never read them or post in them.
But some people when they see a thread topic they don't like they just have to tell everyone in that thread. I always struggle to grasp why.

That's exactly what I did last night
There is one particular thread topic that annoys me as I feel some post the topic just to start arguments. |

I do agree in theory...
But then I think people also use it as a way to vent frustration to a degree.
I did so today on a vaccine thread.
It's not so much that I disagree with the same topics being discussed repeatedly... but when there are no new voices/opinions it becomes tedious and can reflect how someone feels fatigued about the issue in the real world.
However unless someone has posted something I think is not appropriate for the forum I wouldnt be telling them they shouldn't be either |

I can stay out of a lot of threads however I feel very strongly against anti vaxers and try to comment on their bullshit they spread
Strongly believe everyone should to be honest

You can only argue with someone who wants an argument though. |

Honestly I dont think it would make a difference either way. It wouldn't change the people here or their character traits.
I dont think the forum or the interactions need to be more positive. And the time I do its usually because of my own personal fatigue with the place which is when I usually just take a break from the place.
I didnt try to derail the vaccine thread with my majestic rotating penis today because I was disillusioned with the forum, it just seemed like a more entertaining option than debating with someone why infact it's probably highly unlikely their 6 grannies sprouted tails within 30 seconds of the jab |

I try and avoid posting in threads that I know are going to turn into a shitshow, although I’ll occasionally pop in and read the carnage.
I know getting involved is a fool’s errand but at times I think I’m not letting them get away with spouting that nonsense |

Agree on both counts but I wouldn't consider either of them criticisms tbh |
