*raises hand*

"Think our profile name outs us as nerds
Haven't managed to take part in our campaign since lockdown started (zoom just doesn't have the same atmosphere)"
Oh I understand that all to well, I tried discord and Roll20 a few times and it just isn't the same ![](/icons/s/sad.gif) |

Its nothing wildly fancy, just some Elvish text.
Also have a tiny Deathly Hallows tattoo.
And to add to my nerdiness, I read the GoT books before it was a tv series ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

"Movie nerd, fantasy/Scifi book nerd, 40k nerd and video game nerd"
40k is something I've been considering getting into but then I look at how much people spend on their armies and my bank account starts to cry ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Rhett is a fellow and proud nerd. My home office is a sci-fi shrine and I’ve a number I’ve semi-screen accurate costumes. I’ve even been to a few cons in my time.
Scarlett is a semi-nerd with a love of HP. She has a number of costumes ranging from the fab kinda gear to retro sci-fi ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

Cost me a fair few quid back in the day alright. Looked up prices lately on them and thought yeah I won't be getting back into that. |

Fantasy nerd and major LOTR nerd. A Tolkien tattoo has been on the bucket list for ages but I can’t decide what I want. I’ve seen a beautiful line drawing that combines the evenstar, leaves of Lorien and some other symbols that I’m contemplating or maybe an open book with Tolkien symbols floating up out of it but I can’t decide. One of these days! |

I was never into the Warhammer tabletop game but remember my mate and class associates in late primary school getting into it
I vividly remember reading the rule books that came with the starter set, 2nd edition I think and read the stories interspersed in them a few times over the years
Anyway in the Midst of Covid lockdown part 1 (some say the best one) I realised I had about 9 tokens built up on Audible
And took the path of the Mega Nerd
I've gone balls deep into the Warhammer 40k audiobooks backstory
I'm about 7 books into the Horus Heresy. (There's about 50 so you basically pick the arc you like)
And have jumped ahead to the current timeline too
My partner thinks I'm a loser but she just doesn't understand
By the Grace of the Emperor she might one day understand

Definitely a nerd here. Have an entire room in the house for warhammer related hobby stuff, the man cave if you will
Also have far too many books to get through. All fantasy, sci fi and history. Been a PlayStation nerd since the first one was released in ‘96 too.
And I collect swords, although getting decent ones in Ireland is problematic at the best of times. My best one is Anduril from LotR ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

It's a ludicrous amount and I'm hesitant on really considering it a series like other say book alone ff as I'm hoping the authors aren't afraid to kill off main characters or finish the arc in the end
As Games Workshop makes the G's from the models etc I hope it's not going to be like the turtles or batman in that the villain or hero gets beaten and just shows up next series or week if you get me
I'm really enjoying it but am getting the suspicion whoever is head of creative may just want to milk it for the infinite
Such is nerd problems I suppose ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Some would say nerd others a true hero perhaps
I also remember working in a Warehouse in my early 20s. Proper spot just full of working class lads. We'd basically just all bully each other for most of the day
Anyway me and another true hero would skive off to talk about Resident Evil or whatever game, when the lads would come along We'd be like yeah Jaysus the match, tits on her etc
But they knew haha ![](/icons/s/cool.gif) |

Nope it's coming to an end next year. Seige of terra is 7 or 8 books. The main guys at games workshop want to finish it properly and not milk it. |

Ah that's good to hear. Thanks for the info. Yeah the writers seem legit so I'd have been surprised if they just kept going indefinitely ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

Anduril love it!!
There was a shop in Drogheda years ago (dunno if it's still there) and I remember seeing a replica Sting and Herugrim in the window and was amazed at the detail! |
