What’s the done thing when meeting someone for the first time, would you give them a bottle of wine or something? Perhaps a strange question to ask, but manners cost nothing and it seems the right thing to do, that’s if the person/persons in question actually bother to show up! |

Well that depends if your meeting in a public place for a "coffee" meet or landing on their doorstep, the latter yeah probably a bottle in hand would go down well |

Don’t think I’d attempt to go to someone’s house with one arm as long as the other. I was thinking in both cases. Meeting someone for a social and going to someone’s house. |

This came up before and got a mixed response, lots of women thought a guy bringing something was inappropriate on a meet.
Personally i dont expect it at all but i do think its nice. |

My FWB always comes with a bag full of goodies for my kids. Not expected at all but very sweet of him. I think it's little touches like that that just sets you apart from others. |

Depends on the situation, hotel meets, it could be nothing but it has been strawberries and bubbly, or simple chocolate, or a massage oil, house visit, again depends if day time or night. Bring something. X |

For men it seems to be a fine line between thoughtful and creepy but personally I think it’s just polite to bring something.
You can’t go wrong with a bottle of wine (unless they don’t drink) but sometimes a little something as a laugh can help break the ice, like if there was a joke shared about something in particular, a cream egg is always a good laugh… |
