I haven't really been clean shaven in about 10 years!Friends have often said omg you should shave it off, everytime I do the concensus is grow it back, grow it back right now! Not sure what that says about my face Or my friends

Anyway I'm curious,

Guys:

Have you grown one?

If not why not?

And any tips for maintenance especially in the longer stages .. i swear I have more beard products than for my hair

Ladies:

Beards yay or nah ?

If yay long or short?

I've grown one twice and absolutely hated it to the point where I just wanted to tear the skin from my face like in the V. It's itchy and scratchy and super irratating and only then realised my undying love for me razor, and anyway.... my face is way too pretty to be covering it with like mozilla gorilla

So many guys talk about the itch I rarely experience it

My skins probably more irritated when I do shave

A beard wasn’t permissible in my previous career and have flirted between beard, designer stubble and clean shaven since, depending on my mood (translates to laziness…. ) and am happy to go between any of the above for a partner who had a preference.

Never thought I would as a younger guy but I’ve had one for the last 15ish years. Ranging from long stubble to short beard.

Invest in a good set of clippers and find a length that suits. I do mine every week when I freshen up my undercut and it’s handy enough.

There are some awesome beard trimming on GQs YouTube channel which help you understand shaping and framing (as well as good maintenance)

Beards n bald heads are my no no, just my preference so no offence but in saying that iv been meeting regular enough with a guy who is both and oh my feckin babie Jebus. Beards can do serious wonders for down below . I can deal with the bald head, in that case I just grab a hold of his ears

I have one for convenience bcos shaving is a nuisance. It varies in length for reasons of convenience i.e. if I'm not going on a date or to an event I leave it grow. I usually use a trimmers but, I'm not emotionally attached to it and will occasionally shave it clean.

Tip. For fellas with shorter trimmed beards. There's no shame in using an eyebrow pencil and brush to fill in any patchy bits to even it out. A little goes a long way. Chicks dig symmetry!!

I have mine about 4 years now. Grew it originally out of laziness during illness a year earlier and then shaved it off.

Decided to give it a second chance and haven't looked back since. It's been the making of me. I know some don't like beards which is grand but that puts them on the non compatible list.

I've been instructed to shave it off by a couple on here before they would consider putting me on their to do list.

I politely refused especially as it was their opening greeting.
