When David Tennant regenerated in Doctor Who
Myself and 2 of my kids were standing on the couch screaming at the tv.
My daughter cried for hours as I tried to comfort her I was crying on the inside
The best tv I've ever watched with my kids

Wasn't left an emotional wreck,I doubt any movie/TV program could do that, having said that the final scene in the sopranos left a lot of unanswered questions |

I watched an interview online with the producer and director who explained it but yes it was a bit of a cop out but would you have liked to see Tony with a bullet hole in his head |

Nearly sure Tony was killed at the meeting and his whole family coming together in the diner was like a euphoric goodbye |

I wouldn't say and emotional wreck but The Wire produced a lot of grin storylines and deaths.
Wallace's just showed the brutalness of life on the streets. Omar's was just so clinical and surprising but the toughest one for me was Bodi's. You really got to enjoy the character as the season progressed and you got a sense he was going to turn it around. |

Any of the programmes on the Yesterday channel (Freeview 26) that deal with the Holocaust (Shoah) and the Einsatzgruppen who followed the Wehrmacht, in order to murder as many people as possible in occupied countries.
A dreadfully depressing period in human history: deluded Nazi fanatics led by Adolf Hitler enacting their warped eugenicist policies that mark a low point in human history.
Compulsive viewing but profoundly shocking. |

Ending of Sons of Anarchy had me bawling too. Funny enough I tried to rewatch that show fairly recently and it just wasn't doing it for me. Goes to show how we change and our likes change through the years. |

So funny you say that about SOA I love the show, and the music in it is perfect. I remember the first time I watched it thinking wow this is so cool and kinda sexy this outlaw, gun running biker culture. Dont get me wrong it's still cool as fuck. But on my second viewing I went from ok bikers are cool I'd love to be like this. live sort of wild and free, to Dam how does this guy sleep at night/ live with himself etc..
So yeah your definitely right so strange how our tastes and way we see things can change.even in a short time |

It's probably also the fact you have already seen the show. Know the character arcs etc...
You know they are destined to spiral and repeat the same mistakes and eventually be consumed by them. It's harder to root for them knowing the outcomes |

"Six feet under
Unorthodox
Both have a moment each I have rarely seen anything like "
The six feet under moment is where Michael C Hall (of dexter fame) is praying . He had just been arrested with a male prostitute and is crest fallen. He asks his god why he had to make him that way . Very similar to moments in the Shame by Michael fassbender being acutely aware that his sexuality is different . Not like the others who have it easier than he does by the virtue of how they’re ‘made’.
The unorthodox moment is where the heroine’s husband begs her to come back to him. He loves her more than anything but he can’t make her love him if she won’t . Wanting something very badly and sincerely from other people who care for you isn’t enough to make them give it to you is the moral of the story .
There are scenes in the likes of billions and breaking bad which are extraordinary . But the two above I have never seen anything like or will do again in all likelihood because of how much I empathised with the characters |

"The ending of Fleabag!
"I love you."
"It'll pass."
The tears!
What I would give for a 3rd series . The anger management workshop Episode chat at the end is something else "
Oh stop. That was another tears occasion. I'd love a third season but I also think it's perfect the way it is... |

I only watched the last season....that scene you posted was incredible "
One of the most mental things I've ever seen in any TV series. It stuck in my head for weeks afterwards. |

"Last episode of Big Bang theory
Took me by surprise how emotionally connected I was"
Yeah, sheldrake no acceptance speech at the end was a wee bit emotional.
Also the end of Shitts Creek. Seeing how much the family changed from the start. |

Totally agree with you both. Love the wire, hands down the best box set there is. Some brilliant characters in the series. Wallace's death was so sad, shows how rough the streets really are though |

Not a TV show but at the end of the hobbit trilogy and lord of the rings trilogy I always feel gutted leaving the characters. Great films, would love to see how they all ended up later in life as you really connect with them throughout the films |

I don’t follow a whole lot of television or particular shows and end up watching clips of shows on YouTube, I don’t think I’ve very seen an episode of Dr. Who, but the scene where Vincent Van Gogh visits the gallery is brilliant. |

Another fantastic one Dr who used to be so good so many great gems hidden amongst some fairly mediocre episodes |

Not exactly what was asked for but I was just re-living this with my girlfriend the other day. Years ago I woke up on the couch to a scene from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I've never watched the whole movie. I woke up to a screaming woman and the scene was the front of the house, out bursts the screaming woman, through a window if memory serves, covered in blood and proceeds to run screaming toward the camera.
Fuck me I wasn't right for some time after that! |

Dexter season 4 when Dexter got back from killing Trinity to find Rita dead in the bath. That was one of those few real shocking moments I've had when watching any tv show. Such a shame on the ending (though after rewatching it recently the ending wasnt *that* bad) but at least the new season has a chance to make things right again. |
