I was actually thinking of this during the week
The motorways have certainy made it easier to work and to get to places quickly but now we don't travel through little villages anymore and see the beauty there

Enfield & Dublin |
Trim is beautiful in the spring and summer. Fantastic castle and lots of monastic ruins. Great pubs, restaurants and coffee shops too. Not a lot of retail though. Ideal for a few days getaway. |

Somewhere in Co. Down |
I'm more of a country person than a townie so rarely do I find towns stunning but places like Schull and Ballycotton in Cork when not full of tourists would be near the top of my list. |

"Westport. Lovely setting and lay out. Always looks well kept. "
Agred, the greenway cycle from Achill to Westport is great and if you can make it to the top of Croagh Patrick the view over Clew Bay is incredible. The village of Glaslough in Co. Monaghan is reputed to be Ireland most beautiful. Photos look stunning. |
