Anyone else see an increase in profiles requesting face pics in first message? I mean I'm all about not wasting time but first message? There's a bit of 'straight in no kissing' about that  .
I've been seeing that request on profiles for years I'm just wondering if others (that have been members for more than a few years) have also noticed this becoming more common?
I know I'll get the 'if you don't want to send it then don't and move on etc etc'. Just wondering if I'm alone in noticing this that's all |

It's the swipe left, insta disposable influence. People are making their decision based on that one selfie and that's their prerogative. Not our way of doing things. |

I actually added this only this week to my profile for me a face photo sparks more interest than hundreds of dick photos. I know it's Fab but I'm suffering from cock blindness. I'm not demanding they send one but they stand out more if they do. |

We have sent pics when requested in the past, just because it saves the texting over and back, a risk that backfired, as our facepics were doing the rounds last week by another couple. So needless to say our pics wont be sent out as easy in future! |

Can't say I've noticed an increase but then again I don't browse profiles and only ever click on someone new in the forums. People can ask for whatever they want but it doesn't mean they will get it. |

I never would have a problem sending a face picture if asked or requested on a profile. But I don't be dishing them out that much either.
Physical attraction is important, how someone looks visually is important. No point pretending otherwise. Best to find out early rather than investing a significant amount of time and energy into it.
It's always a difficult situation to balance though.

I've never demanded a face pic with a first message or any message, it's a personal choice if you're happy to send one.
I have noticed that some men who send them off the bat tend to ask for mine within a message or two. Like a lot of people I'm not comfortable putting my mug shot out there and personally I find it pushy. Those conversations never take off. |

I send a photo with a first message, i believe it compliments an introductory message and 95% of the time the recipient will view my profile and maybe even message me back. If the message gets read and deleted, no sweat. |

We would never expect or ask for a face pic straight away...we prefer having the chats first to see if we click which is really important for us. We also do not exchange face pics here but that's our preference.

I think it has always been there to a certain extent, but you coming back Wilder after the break are in a good position to see an increase as you have pointed out. I suppose it is a preference for that profile, a way of cutting to the case and reducing email communication. I can understand it to a certain extent especially if they are busy with non Fab commitments and want to organise meets faster because of time constraints. |

I typically send pics as let's face it physical attraction is as much important for us fellows as it is for the ladies. I never ask for a face pic as I know it's the sort of thing that pisses most women off if it's the first thing a guy asks for. I will say yes if I am asked do I want one or invariably the lady will send one after a few messages. |

It's a safety thing. Fear of it being someone you know and then being slut shamed, outed, etc etc. Which happens frequently to women, and can result in actual life consequences.
So yes it may be a double standard but it's born of the big old double standard system that is patriarchy |

We actually find it funny with new profiles “face pic in first message or will be deleted” but the funny thing is, the profile has no photos at all.
Think most of those looking for or demanding face pics are just photo collectors. So we just steer clear from the likes. They won’t get much fab love really |
