So I'm in Dublin end of the month. Hopefully things will be a bit better by then. Now I'll be heading out and I know all the good bars, but what else would you recommend I go at during the day? Events, general fun things etc.

Quite an open minded guy, so something quite different isn't off the tables. I'll be based near city centre of that helps

I'm sure this was asked before but all I saw was bar recommendations

Enfield & Dublin

Jimmy Rabbittes on Camden street is a good pub, pints and grub are super. Take in Kilmainham Jail tour and maybe a couple of the whiskey distilleries too. Guinness storehouse is a good spot too.

Collins barracks is a very good and interesting place to spend a few hours. It's free too

Dublin

A brawl on the boardwalk is always fun on a Sunday

Or if you can time a dart trip to the salubrious suburbs of Howth or Malahide with the bi-annual Invasion of gangs of black clad North Face wearing youths that descend upon these fair locals you'll be onto a winner

Imagine eating a Beschoffs and enjoying a pint as Howtians run for cover as fast as their Dubarries can carry them whilst being given chase by Deano, Git and Johner

@liquid Raven, I’m sure you’ll find Canada Goose is the latest outfit of choice for our amateur pharmaceutical society members.

Ah yes you are correct. All the knobs in Brown Thomas nearly spill their frapachapachinos when de boys come in to buy the Goose. It's the A Wear of Dublin's finest

Newry Down

Head out to Glasnevin and do the National Cemetery and the Botanical Gardens.

A walk around Dalkey and Killiney or Howth and Malahide, respectively south and north of the city.

There's lots, depending on your specific interests.

Dublin

The Long Library & Book of Kells in Trinity, the Dead Zoo, and IMMA are all worth a visit. Dublin Zoo is good on a nice day. A swim at the Forty Foot or Seapoint. Visit Farmleigh Estate or Airfield Farm.
