"IRONMAN...just fucking LOVE it...and of course it adds to it when AC/DC are on the soundtrack " it has to be 1 of the best in fairness the start of the MCU and AC/DC makes it savage. Anf and it has probably the most famous superhero line ever "I am Iron-man) |

Avengers Endgame ....its more that a single film..it's the culmination of an incredible line of films that entertained me for years
So glad I got to experience it with my family on the big screen and still watch it at least once a month |

I suppose its as each franchise progresses with time... I used to be hooked on 5 minute shorts with Flash Gordon that came on just before the angelus every evening but special effects etc would make that look ancient but it still gave me a lot of joy. |

I used to LOVE the old batman TV show with Adam West when I was a kid. The first superhero I ever really got into.
And of course the Superman movies with Christopher Reeves. So good!
It's not always about the special effects. |

The best Superman films are those starring Christopher Reeve, who had a very tragic ending because of his horse-riding accident.
Unfortunately Margot Kidder, his on-screen girlfriend, developed a severe form of bipolarity and also had a tragic ending.
But the films were excellent; very enjoyable. |

"Thor Ragnarok love thor ragnork favourite film. Poor thor went through some shit. Think they ruined him in end game tho "
I was VERY meh about Lebowski Thor - until someone a little bit more perceptive than I explained it as a symptom of Thor's depression after failing to stop Thanos, the destruction of Asgard and the death of Loki AFTER Thor had become King of Asgard...
It's actually pretty powerful, despite his enormous power he's still unable to stop the most personal of tragedies befalling him, as happens in reality.
His ability to summon mjolnir remaining unaffected and proving that he was still worthy of himself and the power of Thor despite the setbacks and his depression is a pretty powerful moment and statement.... |

Avengers Infinty War is hard to beat for scale; Endgame is great too but I don't think it quite matched the 'wow' factor of all the heroes being joined together over the galaxy. Of course, Endgame does have THAT scene, where they're all together and Steve finally gets to say 'Avengers...assemble!'
As regards solo superhero movies, The Dark Knight is still something special and you can't forget that Superman The Movie is still the daddy of them all. |

"From 2010, long before his adventures with Guardians of the Galaxy, James Gunn gave us 'Super', a considerably smaller, more grounded, typically funny and disturbing take on superhero lore. "
Super is a great shout! Very underrated movie |

"Can't believe nobody mentioned Winter Solider yet!"
Definitely among the best of the MCU. It's almost like a Bourne movie with superheroes. Chris Evans is so good as Cap - it's a character that shouldn't really work in this day and age but he totally makes him work, without any hint of irony or any wink at the audience. |
