Best wishes to you on your journey Mrs.Crazy , lf l could offer any small piece of advice it would be
..1.be kind to yourself on your journey, please do not get downhearted if you feel things should be " better " at a stage you think they should be and they may not be...
2. plenty of Fish & veg.
3.No comparing yourself to others, love everything you do and are. |

Have a big interest in this, not a professional in health but try and live my life by a few guidelines, although I’m not perfect and have flaws!
Exercise to a point of sweating and breathing heavily for 30 mins three times per week. You will be much more careful about what you eat. Regard this as a normal bodily function like eating and going to toilet. It’s not an option to skip!
Keep away from sauces and stick to normal food. Have your treats but only as treats but you need to earn them.
I’m not lecturing here and just trying to show the way I think about food and exercise.
Don’t give up!! |

Its a hard road but the end is worth it .
Eating healthy and creating a calorie deficit either through diet or exercise can help you along nicely, set realistic goals , and encourage a friend or partner to join you. Makes thetough days easier.
Hopefully this helps |

Just started last week qith a personal trainer. 2 workouts and being a little more choosy with what I eat, have dropped 1.5 kilos already. Cut down on carbs like bread, pasta and spuds. Best of luck OP. |

We used to have a fitness chat but it fizzled out. But it was good craic while it lasted. We had ladies in lingerie (and naked men) recording yoga poses, jumping jacks, dancing etc etc.
Just remember, you can't out-train a poor diet. Diet is 80% of your journey and exercise is only 20%.
So start by cutting down on bread and sugar, find substitutes (low fat yogurts, 9-calorie jelly etc) to beat the cravings and for exercise, find something that you enjoy, not something you endure.
When you start seeing results, it will give you the motivation to keep going. Good luck |

By the way, anytime I’ve left exercise for whatever reason, I’ve found it takes about 3 weeks to get going again and up to fitness.
In relation to having a fitness buddy, not so sure as if the buddy bails then you are likely to stop. Another poster said diet is 80%, and that is correct. One of the benefits of training is that it will make you think about what you eat. 1 normal size Mars Bar takes a 10k jog to burn! Is it worth it??
Make yourself a deal and stick to it! |

Best of luck! You won't notice yourself, especially mentally. Been back to the gym since reopening and also been on a calorie deficit, down 7 pounds in 11 days. Currently calorie intake is 1800 a day, which is a fall from my average of 3100. I run 2.5 mile 6 days a week and then weighted excercises.
I then crashed and saw no progress as my body adapted. So don't over work, be patient and just watch your foods |

Just back from 2nd session with a pt. He coundnt emphasise enough about cutting down on Carbs. So far I have cut out all the snacks, cut out bread by 90% and only had potatoes twice in a week. Doing 2 x gym sessions a week and doing over 10000 steps each day. In 10 days I have shifted 2 kilos. I know I wont lose the same all the time but my target is 20 kilos by xmas. |

Carbs are not your enemy folks....theyre sooo good for you....its calories that matter at the end of the day....eat a high protein base with plenty of fruit and veg....eat your carbs and good fat sources like salmon, avocados, cheese(low fat...unless u can handle a small amount)low calorie syrups and sauces for condiments...sugar free drinks...ypu can treat yourself and still be in a calorie deficit and thats before you add in cardio..add some resistance training and youll be seeing serious changes over the next few months....good luck folks |

Iv managed to go from 94kg in late January down to 82kg now. Just started eating better, smaller portions and cut out all the shite food. Still have an odd treat but enjoy walks etc now too. Looking and feeling better too. |
