Any fellow Eurovision fans? Currently watching the second semi final and looking forward to Saturday night's extravaganza. I unashamedly love the sheer craziness of it all. Who's your favourite and your tip for the win this year?
I'm loving the Lithuanian entry, and enjoying Iceland, Russia and Finland too |

I'm half following it our entry was actually pretty good but I think lesley Roy's performance yesterday could have been better but I read there was some technical issues too
I like Cyprus, Estonia and greece |

Yeah I really liked the song but the staging was a bit much maybe? Still thought she'd have qualified for the final |

"I am currently working on An outdoor room (with built in sauna) for a client and she is obsessed with eurovision.. Lol. I have to get it finished or I am dead lol "
That sounds to me like a great way to spend a Saturday night |

I think she was actually running on a treadmill at one stage which was why in some parts it sounded like she was trying to catch her breath but the song itself definitely deserved to go through to the finals it was a big improvement to Dustin the Turkeys entry |

Love eurovision!
Forgot to put it on yesterday, but definitely setting myself a reminder for Saturday.
Loved Russias performance, loved Cyprus too, only think it sounded very familiar.
I really can see some of this year's tunes being played in our favorite gay club whenever it opens again |

"Did Ireland get through??
Nope maps didn't work this time so next time a gps should be used to get through "
She tried her best but its an awful song and that production piece they used was nursery school standard. RTE should return to letting thge public choose the song.. Probably afraid we might win and they'd end up having to pay the following year |

Really like the chorus of the Cyprus song, nice upbeat and punchy but the rest of it let’s it down. Italy are the favourites but I can’t see a rock band winning again so soon, I don’t think that much of it anyway. Switzerland is one of the better ones but without the proper video to it the storyline of the song is difficult to convey on stage. Malta are in with a squeak but my money ( and I have put a sizeable bet on ) is on France. It’s a beautiful melodic tune, haunting but mesmerising, slow and upbeat and ending in a spiralling catchy crescendo. I don’t speak any French but you don’t need to to appreciate the passion in the performance, no backing dancers, no orchestra, no gimmicks. Just the singer, singing powerfully and passionately in her own language. Barbara Pravi singing Voila is my favourite. |

Denmark in semi final 2 brought me back to the good old euro days, but sadly did not qualify. Of tonight’s bunch, my favourites would be: Malta, Norway, Cyprus, Switzerland, possibly Spain. Money on Malta, so they are doomed! Ukraine or something equally dreadful will win. Anyway enjoy the madness! |
