A cheerful thread
Even if you don't like ABBA there's at least one of their songs that you like the cheesey tune
Mine is
"The Day Before You Came"
What's yours and what's the memory

I know a Russian guy who learnt English from listening to Abba records in the orphange that he grew up in.
In fairness he had fantastic English.
As i was learning French at the time I was really interested and asked him did he think it was a good system to learn a language.
Would he recommend it?
He said "If I had to do the same again, I would, my friend, Fernando" |

ABBA were at their peak when I was at university; I couldn't choose one favourite, but Fernando, Waterloo, Winner takes it all, etc., are indelibly etched into my consciousness; as are the hit records of Roxy Music and The Carpenters! |

"Hard to choose.....been an abba fan since my early years "
Never knew that Tox! Me too! (Mr) My chums still slag me about it!
But anyone who can’t appreciate ABBA can’t appreciate music!!
My fave would be The winner takes it all or The way old friends do. Or maybe SOS. |

It's just so hard to pick. Abba were geniuses and their music will live forever.
If I had to choose: SOS, Eagle, Gimme,Gimme,Gimme and Knowing Me Knowing You would always have me turning the volume up. But there are more, many more!! |
