Not a movie but I do enjoy the original Gladiators TV show sound track and bring it out regularly. It has classics like
Meatloaf-Bat out of Hell
Survivor-Burning Heart
and my favourite Toto-Hold the Line

"Let's not forget the complete opus of Basil Papsomethingsomethingoulus, some of which cover
Conan, Robocop, Starship Troopersabsolute genius he was"
I was so disappointed in the remake of Robocop cause they did not reuse the OST, that music is what does 70pct of heavy lifting |

"Singles and Rock of ages would be two I'd pick and Gladiator it's one of the only movies that I really like the classical sound track for"
Ah Singles!
I actually bought the CD for this movie as it's that good.
Think it was the first time I heard State of Love & Trust, which is still one of my favourite Pearl Jam tracks.
Just read that I'm going to have to buy a double CD version of it too! - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singles:_Original_Motion_Picture_Soundtrack |

I believe the movie soundtrack is all the music by one composer, not individual songs. So most of the suggestions don't actually make sense.
Example acdc full soundtrack for iron man 2 but other songs on many a film soundtrack.
Bore snore they say!!!
My pick, Southern Comfort by Ry Cooder. |

Newry Down |
2001: A Space Odyssey.
This astonishing film, made by Stanley Kubrick in 1968, is one of the most astonishing films ever produced.
Arthur C Clarke, who retired to live in Sri Lanka was an advisor, and the film is based, as far as I can remember, on his book entitled The Sentinel.
Very innovative cinematography, especially how the circular walking within the space station was devised, to mimic micro gravity. |

"Singles.. Great soundtrack, shit movie.
Almost Famous.. Outstanding.
The Crow... Absolute classic.
Dazed and Confused... Another classic. "
Almost famous features a fictitious band in the film called 'stillwater'. However there was a band called 'stillwater' who featured on many occasion on the 'old grey whistle test'. A southern rock, boogie band. 'sams jam' in particular. On u tube. |

"I might enjoy a soundtrack while watching a film, but wouldn't usually remember afterwards, although I recall Baby Driver being good"
Not only is the soundtrack brill but it's the way everything is in time with the music, especially the action shootout scene to hocus pocus by focus. Gun shots in time to music, class. |

"Difficult to pick one, very good ones posted on this thread, I'm gonna go a bit more classic and say:
Platoon - Adagio for Strings - Samuel Barber
Amazing scene in the film as well."
One of the few times that tears are in your eyes watching a Vietnam war film |
