Favourite coffee?

East / North, Cork

What's your favourite coffee, and how do you take it?

We have a local coffee roaster here called "badger and dodo" and I've never had a bad coffee off them.

Also for work hours ive started getting the aldi skinny latte sachets as they are so quick to make, light, and yummy.

100% any coffee shop/cafe that uses these brands are generally a step above

Also good for brewing at home too

It's a c%$t apparently for cafes in Dublin to be allowed use 3FE so you know they're good when they do

Flat white from a nice barista.

I use a Moka Pot at home with ground beans I buy from a local small business. They are fantastic quality.

I also use Nescafe Gold Blend an Nescafe Gold Espresso.

I must try those Aldi sachets.

Think you need to show me this place. Can’t beat a good coffee and cake

I have one of those tassimo coffee machines and they make a decent cup. Daughter got me one of the stove top coffee pots, may as well feed the addiction, but haven’t used it yet. Need to get decent ground coffee.

I have a Tassimo for working from home, I usually pick up the L'Or XL Americano or the Kenco Flat Whites for that. Seriously considering getting myself a proper little espresso machine!!

Fave roaster is Cloud Picker, fave independent coffee shops are Hatch, Shoe Lane, Art of Coffee or Bear Market.

Of the franchises, Frank & Honest is actually pretty good! Don't mind Starbucks or Cafe Nero. I try to avoid Costa and Insomnia because their baristas are hit and miss (mostly miss), always either burn the coffee or burn the milk.

I start the day at home with Nescafé Azera intenso. It’s the nicest instant I’ve found. Out and about I find the smaller coffee shops have the best takeaway cappuccino. Petrol station coffee can be quite weak.
