It’s getting closer

Seems we are getting closer to things reopening. One thing I have noticed in the last week is - for the previous month/month and a half I noticed that the daily number of cases weren’t being talked about or shared on social media platforms, I found myself having to google it if I wanted to find out how many there was.

But now that things are beginning to reopen, it’s on the radio daily, on Facebook and almost all other platforms. I find this strange, would anyone else agree? Is it scaremongering? Or just putting the numbers out there to keep people informed? If you think it’s the latter, then why has so little of it being done lately and it’s only beginning to be done now when we are getting a bit more freedom?

Curious to see if other people has noticed this?

middle of nowhere

Daily figures are reported on the news everyday.

As for social media I think people just don't want to talk about it. Initially I would look at the numbers all the time ,now it's just depressing.

I've never once looked at the numbers even from day one. I gave up watching news years ago and nothing that has happened in the last year has convinced me to start again.

I understand it was always reported on the news, I suppose I kind of meant more towards the social network side of things. I can remember at the beginning every 2nd thing you see on Facebook was the daily figures. But I had noticed lately it weren’t showing on it at all. No all of a sudden it’s back scattered all over it, same goes with Twitter

The numbers stay roughly the same everyday, there's not enough shock value to keep repeating on social media.

Like me I'm just constantly great but who would listen to this non shocking news?
