Well it’s actually the small logo that matters, if it’s a big watch but says Daniel Wellington or Sekonda then don’t assume he’ll pay your bus fare home

True... And it has military connotations too which gives off a very masculine vibe. No me though.... I'm. Sticking with my Mickey Mouse tone piece

Within the watch-making world, your preference is epitomised by the following expression,

"Once you go big,

you don't go back."

My ambition would be to own either:

Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime or

Patek Philippe Henry Graves Super complication.

These understated watches have a combined value in excess of 60,000,000 US dollars.

Size or initial visual appearance isn't everything!

Realistically, these specific timepieces are designed and manufactured to be the most complex watches that have very existed; they are good investments for the ultra-wealthy, such as Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, et al.

Wrist-worn watches are a fashion accessory, that have been eclipsed by the mobile phone.

Big 'male' watches epitomise masculinity, self-assuredness and ruggedness, and are a fashion statement that can complement the overall sexual attractiveness of the wearer, in the same fashion that an attractive ankle bracelet or necklace on a plunging neckline can.

The more unusual or overstated adornments can be an icebreaker.

Personally, I prefer smaller watches as as CBC; the chronometers are expensive.

The most useful is the Breitling watch that can isuue an emergency rescue signal anywhere on the planet; the penalty for misuse, several years ago, was £30,000.

Richard Brandon always wore one when he was setting his numerous world records in ballooning, power-boating, etc.

I think he sold it for £12,500.

I'll continue to express my masculinity with a plunging neckline

Sounds like Ive inadvertently stumbled on a passion of yours!

I love random facts and will file away the Breitling info

I thought I was above falling for the obvious masculinity symbols but I suspect you are right! Im sure I can accommodate that enlightment. Thanks

I am not particularly passionate about watches, but I have spoken to some interesting collectors over the years.

What I detest is tacky cheap ostentatious watches, that shout 'fake'.

I appreciate understated reliable high quality timepieces, particularly vintage watches that hold their value over decades, and are smaller than the current norm.

I've never understood the fascination with expensive material goods of any description.

I am the proud owner of an 80 year old clock built by my grandfather so I can appreciate the craftsmanship but I currently drive the most expensive car I've ever owned and that cost the princely sum of £5k. I've never bought big brand goods mainly due to the fact I was trying to house and feed my family but even if I had the money I'd be more inclined to spend it on people rather than inanimate objects.

Everyone is different I know but for me personally I don't rely on props to create an impression.

I'm almost the same, but love them on women! Hence why I tend to wear them myself...

Would love to know if this works for the OP too, or is it just on guys that it works for you?

I call my Penis a “watch”.

As it looks better with two hands and a face on it.

Breitling stopped making its Emergency watch, but they are available pre-owned.

What are the benefits of having a hidden profile?

Pics are frequently 'stolen' and used for other nefarious purposes, but no profile details whatsoever is taking privacy to the point that you may be limiting your potential on this site.

Perhaps the OP just wants to take a break from anything physical right now, and just enjoy the forums for what they are? I'm sure she's aware of her potential!
